Senior Associate
Dr. Marvin Resnikoff is an international consultant on radioactive waste issues. A nuclear physicist and a graduate of the University of Michigan, Dr. Resnikoff has worked on radioactive issues since his first project at West Valley, New York in 1974. Throughout his career, he has assisted public interest groups and state and local governments across the US in order to identify and create solutions for radioactive waste storage and transportation issues. His recent research focus has been on the risk of transporting and storing radioactive waste and the health impact of radioactive waste from oil and uranium production. Dr. Resnikoff has also co-authored four books on radioactive issues, including Deadly Defense and Danger Below, both regarding contamination at DOE facilities. In June 2000, he was appointed by DOE secretary Bill Richardson to a Blue Ribbon Panel on Alternatives to Incineration.
Research Associates
Brandon Taylor completed his M.S. in Geosciences from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in February of 2010 and subsequently joined the staff of RWMA in October of 2010. As a graduate student he was involved in a variety of field and lab projects that addressed diverse geologic, environmental and climatologic issues, including the reconstruction of late Holocene climate in Southeastern Brazil. While working toward his B.S. in Geology from SUNY Oneonta Brandon was fortunate enough to participate in fieldwork across the U.S. including glacial geology/glaciology studies on the Bering Glacier in Alaska and speleological studies in Carlsbad Caverns National Park.
Jacqueline Travers graduated from the University of Vermont May 2008 with a major in Environmental Sciences, following 8 semesters on the Dean’s List. She was also on a Presidential Scholarship for 4 years. Ms. Travers took courses in environmental hydrology, ecological risk assessment and pollutant movement in the environment. As an undergraduate, she also worked for the Watershed Alliance, assessing the quality of Vermont Streams, and on an air quality monitoring project. She is skilled in soil and groundwater sampling and the use of ArcGIS. In her stint at RWMA, Ms. Travers has assisted in analyzing nuclear transportation accident analysis for the State of Nevada using GIS software, and in evaluating the effect of NORM contamination on workers in Louisiana.
Administrative
Edie Mayer, our Office Manager came to us from the non-profit world, making her exceptionally well attuned to the types of work we do and the needs of our clients. Her organizational and business skills keep us running smoothly, handling all of our “non-science” needs.
